I don't know about the colors.

It seems kinda flat.

I like how you have the sun light coming in and the dust in it.

The shadow is good too.

very nice painting and a great idea too.

the projection of light is a great part, but i would emphasise it a bit. maybe i prefer the bw version too.

I wish HK-USA would make a civilian version of the M-29 with a 12- or 10-gauge shotgun in place of the 20mm smart cannon. The shotgun part would have to be ambidextrous -- probably switchable like a Walther G-22 -- since it's a bullpup.

You should have drawn the extended barrel on the grenade launcher of the XM29. Artistically, it looks much better with the longer barrel on the top (more balanced). Functionally, it would also allow higher velocity for the grenade [link] some of these have the longer barrel
Something about his helmet seems strange to me, too.

Honestly though, i thought the bottom barrel does come out a bit longer because the grenade launcher sits on top and its barrel is the full length of the rifle underneath. Check out this link:

And the helmet i just kinda made up. It may be proportionally a bit small, but i did that so he would look like a bigger guy. I had a deadline for creating this image and i was thinking it was more important to create the idea of a modern soldier in an ancient place than to fully render all the details perfectly. That being said, i also love drawing detail, and maybe someday with more time i could go back to this image and rework it to be perfect. Till then, well.... doodles, and work i guess.
